About Me
Matt Dean, a San Jose, California native, is currently a senior at the University of Southern California pursuing his BFA in Musical Theatre. He began dancing at age two at his mother’s studio, South Bay Dance Center.
Matt made his musical theatre debut at age twelve as Billy in Children's Musical Theater San Jose’s Marquee Production of Billy Elliot the Musical. He went on to reprise the role of Billy at Ocean State Theatre in Rhode Island, The Phoenix Theatre Company in Arizona, Berkeley Playhouse in California, and Cape Rep Theatre in Massachusetts.
Most recently, Matt appeared in LA Opera’s production of West Side Story. Other professional credits include Disney’s Newsies (The Phoenix Theatre Company) and Disney’s The Little Mermaid (The Muny).
